In this paper we study the propagation of scalar fields in four dimensions in the presence of a background field, called the Ho\v{e}therian. We have calculated the propagation of scalar fields in four dimensions in the presence of a background field. We have found that the propagation of scalar fields is localized in the direction of its entangling force at the boundary. We have also calculated the propagation of scalar fields in four dimensions in the presence of the Ho\v{e}therian in the presence of a background field. We have found that the propagation of scalar fields is localized in the direction of its entangling force at the boundary.
